Jug Bay boasts the largest concentration of Ospreys (fish hawks) on the east coast of US.



There were also lots of bald eagles. This juvenile eagle circled low, directly above Kyra and I ...

They're all here to build their nests and have clearly built up a very big apetite doing so this spring, ...



Another osprey caught an Atlantic Redfish, which is unusual to find this far upriver from the ocean.



Then again, ospreys could explain why. :/


Also seen, a cleverly camouflaged 'American bittern' ....



and a wily camouflaged 'Labrador retriever'
(aka 'Kyra monster').
