Kyra's 1st Avalanche Rescue! (A Picture Story)

Woof-wOOfff-Wuf!!

Kyra is now a bone-ifed, certified Dawg-Sled Rescue Dog!

Record snowfall in the NE has caused inviting conditions for Dawg sledding!
A professional dawg-sledder, Kyra had mostly planned for a day of fun, ...

as she trained novice dawg-sledders on fresh pawder!"

Kyra enjoys a day of dawg sled training
Unfortunately, these were also dangerous conditions for avalanches
by reckless, novice and screaming sledders!

Here's how it all precipitated

At the time of the incident,
Kyra quickly realized that one rookie forgot his sled goggles

So she immediately leaped to action to support the rookie down the steep slope.

As trained, Kyra instinctively chased him down to help clear his eyes from the blinding snow.

But it was too late!

The novice predictably lost control, as he screamed full speed, which caused a major avalanche!

Kyra could only watch in horror as the novice crashed and tumbled down the hill! He soon disappeared under 2ft of deep fresh pawder.

Fortunately, Kyra's rescue training instincts took over.

And within minutes, she was able to pick up his scent and sniff him out!

He's Alive!!!

Then sensing that he still appeared
disorientated and confused,

Kyra quickly proceeded to lick the snow off his nose and mouth
to help clear his airways.

RESCUED!! :)

Thus, having proving herself under real-life dangerous and treacherous conditions  at the risk of her own life,

Kyra was officially-promoted, 'Dawg-Sled Rescue-K9 Level 1 (DSR-K9-1)!

.... and is on doody 24/7.
